El Festival de la Linterna o Yuanxiao se celebra en China. Además de mirar las linternas, ese día la gente come yuanxiao, que son una especie de pelotitas de arroz cocido o frito, rellenas de dulces. Dicen que estas bolitas simbolizan alegría. http://img24.*************/img24/4017/yuanxiao03.jpg En esta fiesta, enormes artesanías de papel se iluminan dando color y vida a una de las mayores celebraciones de ese país. Las esculturas pueden alcanzar hasta 15 metros de altura. Los hay desde animales gigantescos, objetos típicos de la cultura China y otras cosas. Tengo entendido que también en otros países lo celebran. Por ejemplo, la versión canadiense del Festival de la Linterna se celebra en Toronto. Debe ser extraordinario presenciar ese colorido espectáculo.
