Insane Poetry

Es un grupo de hip hop de Los Ángeles, California . Formado en 1988, Insane Poetry es considerado como uno de los primeros grupos horrorcore.

El grupo fue formado por Cyco, entonces conocido como Psycho (nacido Andrew "Drew" Holiman, el 29 de abril de 1967, en Los Ángeles, California), después de que él fue contratado como disc jockey en una estación de radio de Los Angeles. Con los miembros DJ Streek Shakespear y One-Man Riot, Insane Poetry publicó su single debut, "welve Strokes Till Midnight", en 1988.

Después de reemplazar Shakespear con Em-Dee, Insane Poetry firmado con Nastymix/Ichiban Records a través de un asociación con emcee Rodney O, publicó su álbum debut, Grim Reality. En 1992 alcanzó el puesto # 98 en el Billboard Top R & B / Hip-Hop Albums.

Después de Nastymix salió del negocio, Insane Poetry firmado independent React Records, que lanzó su segundo álbum, Blacc Plague , en 1996, pero los desacuerdos sobre la promoción y apoyo llevó al grupo a dejar el sello.

En 1998, apareció Cyco en Vanilla Ice 's Hard to Swallow album, seguido por la colaboración con M-Boogie, Dilated Peoples , y DJ revolution.

En 2001, Cyco conectado con el productor Jason "JP" Pearl y juntos formaron Grim Reality Entertainment.
En 2003, Insane Poetry Lanza Faith in Chaos .
En 2007, el grupo lanzó Fallen From Grace con con la distribución nacional a través de Long Range / Koch Records
