Weather and Temperature
Cabo San Lucas has two main seasons - summer and winter. The climate in Cabo is extremely dry with very low humidity. This is mainly due to the fact that the city is surrounded by mountains and a desert region, unlike other regions of Mexico. The wind from the United States also helps to keep the humidity directly in the bay.
The summer season starts in May and ends in October. The average daytime temperature can reach 35ºC and the nights are usually cooler with temperatures as low as 18ºC. There is also a "rainy season" during the summer, which is usually during the months of August to September. During the rainy season, it is very common to feel more humidity.
During the winter (in the months of November to April) the days are pleasantly warm, with temperatures of approximately 27ºC or slightly more. On the other hand, nights tend to be a bit chilly due to the winds that come from the United States, causing the temperature to drop to an average of 14ºC. It is not very common for it to rain during the winter season, however, it is likely that one of those days you may see rain.
Currency
The Mexican peso is the most widely used currency in Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos, although the U.S. dollar (USD) is widely accepted in most places, and some banks also offer currency exchange. Major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted in almost all establishments.
