Los estadounidenses Agalloch han terminado de trabajar en el que es su nuevo álbum y lleva por título The Serpent & The Sphere y que es la continuación del álbum del 2010 Marrow of the Spirit.
The Serpent & The Sphere lleva a Agalloch hasta otro nivel dentro del black progresivo, podemos ver el lado más oscuro, atmosférico y más cuidadosamente ejecutado de sus diecisiete años de carrera.
Producido por Billy Anderson en los Cloud City Studios en Portland, Oregon, The Serpent $ The Sphere representa el mejor sonido de Agalloch hasta la fecha.
Cabe destacar la colaboración especial del guitarrista Nathanaël Larochette del grupo canadiense de neo-folk Musk Ox quien ha escrito los interludios acústicos del álbum.
