Afrojack (9 de septiembre de 1987), cuyo verdadero nombre es Nick Van de Wall, es un disc jockey y productor discográfico de música House.
Biografía
Afrojack comenzó muy temprano para sumergirse en la música: a los 5 años comenzó a aprender a tocar el piano. Más tarde, durante sus estudios, dedicó la mayor parte de su tiempo a escuchar todo tipo de música. Más tarde se dirigió a la creación musical.
A los 11 años, Afrojack empieza a utilizar el softwareFruityLoops, ahora llamado FL Studio. A partir de ese momento, y con el paso de los años aprenderá a dominar FL Studio, el cual sigue usando hoy en día.
Al graduarse, se orientó hacia la carrera musical. Queriendo vivir con la música, comenzó a trabajar en bares y restaurantes. No pasará mucho tiempo para que descubra la noche enRotterdam desde que comenzó 16 años en el club "Las Palmas". Después de estos trabajos, pronto comenzó a trabajar en el estudio.
En 2006 partió a la isla de Creta, en Grecia, para mezclar durante 5 meses a través de numerososclubes y así aprender el arte del DJ. En este momento en que lanzó su primer single F * ck Detroit. A su regreso a los Países Bajos, crea muchos títulos con la esperanza de publicarlos en una etiqueta. Con la ayuda de Sidney Samson y Laidback Luke, Digidance decide darle una oportunidad con el singleIn Your Face (canción de Afrojack) , que llegará al lugar 60º en el Top 100 holandés y 3° en el Top 30 de dance holandés.
En 2007, Nick comienza a evolucionar bajo el seudónimo de Afrojack, decidido a convertirse en un gran DJ y productor. También produce para otros artistas. Sus títulos están respaldados por grandes DJ como David Guetta, Josh Wink, Dave Clarke, Laidback Luke, Fedde Le Grand, Erick E, Sidney Samson, Chuckie, Marco V o DJs nacionales como Benny Rodrigues, Roog, etc.
Ese mismo año, Afrojack creó su propio sello, Wall Recordings (exclusivamente para los sitiosBeatport y Juno). Muchos de estos títulos son: Don't Be, Proper Introduction, Thief, etc.
La popularidad de Afrojack se convierte en internacional y es considerado un importante productor de música electrónica, ha colaborado con grandes artistas de la escena electrónica como David Guetta, Diplo, Chuckie, Laidback Luke y Steve Angello, Pitbull o para el rapero Kid Cudi.
Sus nuevos singles en el año 2010 son: Louder Than Words, en colaboración con David Guetta, yTake Over Control con Eva Simons.
2010: The Time (The Dirty Bit) y Take Over Control
Durante el año 2010, Afrojack ha tenido un gran éxito a pesar de su corta edad, produciendo canciones para y con grandes artistas de la escena musical como bien son los Black Eyed Peas, a quienes les colabora en la producción de su más reciente álbum, llamado The Beginning y también con David Guetta, con quien ha producido canciones como Toyfriend y Louder Than Words.
Además, ha producido un single que se espera tenga muy buena acogida en las pistas, tal es el caso de Take Over Control canción hecha junto a la cantanteneerlandesaEva Simons la cual inclusive la dio a conocer David Guetta en una publicación en su página en Facebook.
En 2010 llegó a ocupar el puesto número 19[SUP]2[/SUP] en la lista de dj's de DJmag y en el 2011 alcanzó a posicionarse en el número 7 en dicha encuesta.
